Author Biography

  • Sajida Fazal

    is a Doctoral candidate at the Center for Religious Studies (CERES) at Ruhr Universität Bochum. Her PhD project is on ‘intra-religious diversity among Pakistani Muslim migrants in Germany’.

    She holds a Master’s degree in Sociology from Pakistan and Ecumenical Studies from Bonn. Mrs. Fazal has been working on the issues of migration and integration in diverse societies with respect to Islam and South Asian cultures. She has been involved in the field of religion and sociology since 2008 in the academic and the NGO sector.

    Her research interests are sociology of religion, migration, Islam, Pakistani Diaspora and inter-culture studies. She is currently working on her publication about intra-religious tolerance and Ahmadiyya migrants in Germany.
